Arsenal are looking to negotiate for striker Gabriel Martinelli. The English team aims to guarantee significant value for the player on the market.
The Brazilian athlete’s contract with the Gunners only extends until mid-2027. The English board considers it essential to sell the player at this time to guarantee significant value before the contract approaches its end.
Information indicates that the British club offered Martinelli to several teams around the world. The search for interested parties even included markets considered “peripheral”, such as Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
Sources close to the negotiations said that Turkish teams were open to paying the amount requested by Arsenal. The value sought by the London team is around 50 million euros, the equivalent of almost 298.7 million reais.

The Brazilian player, however, informed the Gunners board, on August 12, 2026, that he has no interest in playing in alternative leagues during this period.
The same sources pointed out that Premier League clubs would also be able to afford the price asked by Mikel Arteta’s team. However, Arsenal prefers not to strengthen direct rivals in England.
Still, people linked to the case indicate that Martinelli could remain at the club. This will happen if Arsenal do not receive any offer that they deem satisfactory.
The Gunners’ main objective, however, is to complete the sale of the striker at this time. The strategy aims to prevent the player from leaving free of charge in the final phase of his contract.

According to reports, Arsenal remain interested in signing center forward Julián Álvarez. The player, in turn, expressed his desire to leave Atlético de Madrid.
For the negotiation for Álvarez to progress, the Gunners would need to negotiate another prominent striker.
Sources report that, if Atlético de Madrid agrees to sell Álvarez, the English team may consider trading striker Gyökeres. This move would be to raise funds and open a place on the squad.
