Tottenham Hotspur maintains a strong interest in signing striker Savinho, currently linked to Manchester City. The London club is optimistic about finalizing negotiations for the Brazilian player in the coming days, as reported on August 12, 2026.

Sources close to the situation indicate that conversations between the teams are continuing actively. The expectation is that Tottenham will be willing to reach the amount requested by Manchester City, estimated at 70 million pounds, which is equivalent to around R$490.6 million.

Individuals familiar with the process stated that Manchester City postponed the departure of the former Atlético-MG player because they had not found a suitable replacement in the transfer market so far.

As for the athlete Savinho, he explicitly communicated to the newly arrived Manchester City coach, Enzo Maresca, his desire not to remain at the Etihad Stadium, even after taking part in the team’s pre-season.

The same sources also revealed that the striker had multiple conversations with Roberto De Zerbi, Tottenham’s Italian coach, seeking to understand the commander’s tactical plans for his eventual arrival at the club.

The player Savinho has been part of the City Football Group since 2002, when his transfer was completed from Atlético-MG.

After being acquired by the conglomerate, the athlete had spells at PSV Eindhoven and Girona, being incorporated into Manchester City’s main squad from the 2024/25 season onwards.

During his two full seasons in Manchester, Savinho accumulated 84 competitive appearances, registering seven goals and 13 assists.
