Rockstar Games surprised fans by announcing an extended presentation of GTA 6, scheduled for August 27th. The broadcast is scheduled for 3 pm Eastern Time in the United States, equivalent to 4 pm Brasília time, generating great expectations among the gaming community.
In a brief communication on social media, the developer invited the public to take an “in-depth look” at the next title in the Grand Theft Auto series, described as the latest evolution of the franchise. The studio has not yet announced the exact duration of the presentation nor the specific aspects that will be covered. An interesting detail is that the event will be available on Netflix, in addition to a video on YouTube.
This announcement creates an important opening for the long-awaited in-depth gameplay demonstration. So far, Rockstar has focused on the characters, environment and narrative of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Crucial elements such as exploration, combat system, side activities and open world dynamics were reserved for future showings.
The opportunity will also be ideal to better explore Leonida, the fictional state inspired by Florida that serves as home to Vice City and other locations. Previously released materials suggest that the map will not be limited to the large city, but will include vast rural areas, diverse roads, beaches, wetlands and small communities, promising a diverse environment.
Choosing the month of August for this revelation positions it as a strategic point in the publicity campaign. GTA 6 is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, with confirmed availability for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X. A PC version, however, has not yet had its date officially announced.
With less than three months until the official launch, the expectation is that Rockstar will present GTA 6 in real operation, clarifying players’ main doubts about its structure, game mechanics and the vast open world that awaits exploration.

The plot of GTA 6 takes place in the fictional state of Leonida, a region that is inspired by Florida and is home to a modern version of Vice City. The plot follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a duo who find themselves involved in a complex criminal conspiracy after an initially simple task goes wrong. The title is already confirmed for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. So far, Rockstar has not provided information about a PC version.
In the Brazilian market, the standard edition of the game is on sale for R$449.90 on the PlayStation Store, while the Ultimate Edition costs R$549.90. Digital pre-orders include the Vintage Vice City Pack, which offers a vehicle, a garage, clothes, hairstyles and an exclusive weapon livery, plus a month of GTA+ for qualified buyers.
For now, any possibility of a launch in 2027 remains in the field of speculation. The only official date released for the release of GTA 6 is November 19, 2026. For any change, a new official statement from Rockstar Games itself would be necessary.
