Blizzard reveals BlizzCon 2026 schedule and esports tournaments

Blizzard Senior Director of Global Events Kiersten Crissman announced on September 2, 2026, the programming details for BlizzCon 2026 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, scheduled for September 12 and September 13, 2026. The live gathering marks the convention return for 37,000 ticket holders across the entire complex.

Organizers will move the main stage back inside Hall D to accommodate 7,500 seats during the opening ceremony and major presentations.

Expanded hall space and interactive tavern zones

Darkmoon Faire will occupy more than 70,000 square feet on the second level of North Hall as the largest edition of the attraction to date. The site includes a replica pond, pin trading areas, and pet adoption booths. Hearthstone Tavern returns with an artist area and a mocktail station.

All Blizzard digital broadcasts remain free.

Live streams run across YouTube and Twitch on dedicated Warcraft, Diablo, and Overwatch channels from 10:30 AM Pacific on September 12, 2026, until 7:00 PM Pacific on September 13, 2026, delivering 117 hours of programming that includes developer deep dives, Community Night cosplay competitions hosted by voice actor Darin De Paul, and in-game loot drops for viewers. Crissman stated that the stage programming expands across six stages over two full days.

Esports tournaments award 1.2 million dollars in prizes

Blizzard allocated a competitive prize pool exceeding 1.2 million dollars across five separate tournaments running concurrently at the arena.

The Overwatch World Cup returns inside the arena alongside the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship and the Mythic Dungeon International. Hearthstone will feature the Masters Tour World Championship on updated stage designs. A debut Classic Cup exhibition brings captains Tasteless and Artosis together with former champions BoxeR and Nal_rA.

Convention floor features retro archives and fan activities

Floor operations occupy 1.8 million square feet across the Anaheim Convention Center with more than 1,300 playable gaming stations.

Attendees will find the Hell’s Ink tattoo station alongside the Blizzard Arcade area featuring StarCraft and Heroes of the Storm machines. The Blizzard archives unit will also present an exhibit table displaying company items from 35 years of studio history.

The fifth annual March of the Murlocs gathers roughly 4,000 costumed participants dressed in emerald green at Arena Plaza at 11:45 AM on September 13, 2026.
