Sources with direct knowledge of the situation told TMZ Sports that Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson quietly ended their romance in late 2025. The report, published on Friday, October 30, 2026, says the split was never announced publicly. Belichick, 74, is head coach of the University of North Carolina football team, and Hudson, 25, is a former collegiate cheerleader.
Nothing in their public appearances pointed to a split during 2026. The couple kept attending high-profile sporting and social events in the United States, including the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs. Hudson also remained a visible presence at the team’s games, and she was on the sideline at the program’s most recent home game against Syracuse.
From a 2021 flight to the public reveal in 2024
The couple first met on a flight in February 2021. They began dating in 2022, but the relationship only became public in June 2024, a moment that drew wide coverage in the media and on social networks. The 49-year age difference between the coach, a multiple champion of the National Football League, and Hudson was a main topic of that attention.
The couple’s relationship came under public scrutiny in April 2025. During a CBS Sunday Morning interview with Belichick, Hudson stopped the taping when the reporter asked how the two had met. Belichick later said the broadcast had been edited to give a distorted view of what happened.

Business ties remain as Belichick rejects claims of control
Belichick later denied rumors that Hudson was interfering in the coaching staff’s operations, calling them unfounded in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. In September, he also said the claim that Hudson was copied on every email from his office was “a flat-out lie.” Hudson has reportedly started seeing other people, according to a source cited by TMZ Sports, although her current relationship status is unclear. TMZ said it contacted both Belichick and Hudson but had not received a response, and the report says the two remain committed to their business partnerships and close friendship.
