Naruto Card Game will launch simultaneously in every region of the world in June 2027, according to Bandai Co., Ltd. The company, through its Bandai Card Games division, made the announcement on Saturday, 10 October 2026, during a panel at New York Comic Con in New York, United States.
During the presentation, Bandai showed an animated teaser for the first time in public, with original artwork by Studio Pierrot, the studio that animated the Naruto and Naruto Shippuden TV series. Bandai Card Games, which operates in more than 50 regions, also presented new illustrations of the cards in the game’s opening package.
Starter Decks and collectibles at launch
The opening lineup targets newcomers and players who build custom decks, with some items sold in advance at tournaments and brand fairs. Four product lines have been listed so far, and two of them will be available only at in-person events.
- Starter Decks ST-01, ST-02 and ST-03: three pre-built decks led by Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Gaara, each with its own group of ninjas and play style.
- Booster Pack 01: expansion released alongside the starter decks, with characters from Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, new techniques and support cards.

Sign-up for in-store demos runs through the Bandai TCG+ app
Before the commercial debut, players can attend in-person test sessions called Premier Demo Events, held at partner stores registered in the manufacturer’s official program. Interested players must register only through the Bandai TCG+ app, choosing to test either the Naruto deck or the Sasuke deck, and demo cards cannot be taken home from the stores. Bandai also plans a global campaign in the spring of 2027 in the Northern Hemisphere to give away 1 million Demo Decks to new users.

- January 2027: registration opens in the Bandai TCG+ app for test events
- 5 to 19 February 2027: Wave 1 of Premier Demo Events at selected large stores
- 19 February to 5 March 2027: Wave 2, with more stores added
- June 2027: simultaneous worldwide debut of the starter decks and first booster pack
From Project Rasengan to the first public demo
The project began as an internal Bandai initiative called Project Rasengan. Bandai first announced the game in June 2026, revealed its basic mechanics and card visuals in July of that year, and held its first public demonstration at the Gen Con 2026 fair.
According to the company’s technical description, the battle system covers the Naruto, Naruto Shippuden and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations universes. The work comes from Masashi Kishimoto, whose manga ran in Japan’s Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1999 to 2014 over 700 chapters. The series became a TV anime in 2002 and has 250 million copies in circulation worldwide.
Bandai has not yet set a day for the products to reach stores. Prices for the starter decks and expansion packs, language localization and distribution for the Brazilian market also remain unconfirmed on the official site. Bandai Co., Ltd. said in a statement sent to the press that the next major update is scheduled for Jump Festa 2027 in December.
