Casemiro explains controversy about Endrick and updates Neymar’s situation in the Brazilian team

Midfielder Casemiro clarified his recent statement involving attacker Endrick during a press conference held at Granja Comary, in Teresópolis, this Thursday morning. The midfielder expressed discomfort with the repercussions of his previous statements to TNT broadcaster Sports. According to the athlete, the original intention was to protect the young player from excessive charges that precede the Copa and Mundo dispute.

The Manchester United player’s demonstration occurred shortly after the Seleção Brasileira medical department issued an official bulletin about the Neymar attacker. Doctor Rodrigo Lasmar confirmed that the number 10 suffered a grade 2 calf injury. The diagnosis establishes a scenario of uncertainty for the selection of the main star of the squad in the debut match of the world tournament, scheduled for June 13th against Marrocos.

Proteção to the young striker motivates the midfielder’s clarification

The negative repercussion on digital platforms motivated the detailed statement from the 34-year-old experienced midfielder. Casemiro vehemently denied any attempt to isolate Endrick or diminish his importance within the group preparing in Rio from Janeiro. The player reinforced that the young man has the technical potential to compete in up to four editions of the tournament organized by Fifa throughout his professional career.

The division of responsibilities within the squad was the central argument used by the midfielder to justify his original position. In the veteran’s view, the responsibility for results and the main actions on the field should fall on the most experienced athletes in the current group. Essa strategy aims to protect newly arrived promises to the main team from the burden of carrying national favoritism.

Lesão of Neymar changes planning and generates daily care in Teresópolis

The medical panorama of the team’s main offensive player focused the attention of the technical committee on the training facilities. Rodrigo Lasmar indicated that the attacker’s recovery process will be routinely evaluated by physiotherapists. Casemiro avoided setting deadlines for his teammate’s return, but highlighted the importance of having the entire group in ideal conditions. The squad adopts a cautious stance so as not to rush the Santos athlete’s physical transition stages.

The momentary absence of the main coordinator changes the dynamics of the activities carried out on the main lawn of Granja Comary. The training sessions scheduled for the morning seek tactical alternatives to make up for the lack of rhythm in the starting offensive sector. The group of players focuses on maintaining the schedule established by the technical committee to overcome the unforeseen medical situation.

The public’s expectation for the preparatory commitment resulted in the total sale of tickets available for the grandstand sector. The CBF confirmed that all tickets on sale were sold out in advance by fans.
