On July 15, a 76-year-old woman from Florida had a big surprise when she received her car’s new license plate in the mail. The combination of letters and numbers, “SQZ A55”, generated great indignation in the elderly woman.

Nancy Dello Stritto, who resides in Pompano Beach, reported that her license plate quickly became the topic of conversation at her retirement community.

She expressed her disbelief, stating that she did not expect a nearly 77-year-old person to walk around with a sign containing such a message. Dello Stritto also questioned how the letter combination managed to pass muster during the inspection process.

Initially, the elderly woman wanted to request a new plate, but was persuaded by her children and friends to keep the one she had received.

Despite the initial shock, she revealed that she had come to terms with the situation, considering that perhaps the license plate was destined to remain on her car. The Florida resident also commented that she is prepared for any honking she may receive because of the sign.

A Broward County administrative representative clarified that license plates that are considered offensive by drivers can be replaced at no cost at the office located in Plantation. This information is vital for other citizens who, like Nancy, may encounter unwanted letter combinations and seek a practical solution to the problem.
