Barcelona SC needs immediate reaction at home
Barcelona SC is coming off a 1-1 draw with Manta, by Campeonato Equatoriano, last Saturday. The result interrupted an irregular sequence. The team has three defeats in Libertadores, including 0-3 to Boca in Bombonera, in April.
- Darío Benedetto, an experienced center forward, is one of the main references in the attack.
- Jhonny Quiñónez and Jandry Gómez appear among the midfield highlights.
- The defense has Gustavo Vallecilla and Bryan Carabalí as frequent options.
Coach César Farías should maintain formation close to the one used recently. The team needs to exploit the home advantage to put pressure on from the start.
Boca Juniors arrives in good shape and with a reinforced cast
Boca Juniors beat Central Córdoba 2-1 last weekend, via Campeonato Argentino. The result kept the team in a positive rhythm. Na Libertadores, the team has two wins and one defeat, with a good goal difference.
- Miguel Merentiel leads the attack with recent goals.
- Leandro Paredes organizes the midfield alongside Santiago Ascacíbar and Ander Herrera.
- Lautaro Di Lollo and the full-backs provide defensive consistency.
The Boca coach should opt for a balanced lineup, with an emphasis on quick transitions. The Argentine team seeks to increase its advantage in the leadership of Grupo D.
