Ancelotti Assesses Returns and Hot Names on Europa
The Carletto list, as the coach is affectionately called, must maintain the base that played in the last friendlies and the Eliminatórias.Nomes like Marquinhos, Vinicius Júnior and Casemiro are considered certain presences in the group that will travel to Norte’s América. The fans’ biggest doubt lies in the presence of Neymar, who seeks to prove his physical condition at Santos to guarantee a spot.
The performance of athletes at Premier League has also influenced the coaching staff’s choices. Ancelotti tested 51 players in ten matches leading the national team before reaching this decisive moment.Defensive balance is one of the priorities after the recent defeat to França in a preparatory friendly. The CBF works behind the scenes to seal the coach’s renewal until 2030 even before the start of Copa.

CBF’s Planejamento includes farewell friendly at Maracanã
Após the list announcement, the players called up will perform at Granja Comary, at Teresópolis, on May 27th.The location will serve as a base for the first physical and tactical training under the supervision of the Ancelotti team.Atletas involved in the finals of European tournaments or Libertadores will have different submission deadlines.
The program foresees a final contact with Brazilian fans before boarding for the Estados Unidos. Brasil will face Panamá in a friendly match on May 31st at Maracanã.The game is seen as fundamental for final positioning adjustments, especially against opponents who use defensive holds. On June 2nd, Fifa will release the complete list of all those registered for Mundial.
Desafios logistics in the first Copa with three headquarters
The 2026 tournament will be historic as it is the first to be held in three countries simultaneously: USA, México and Canadá.Isso imposes strict travel and athlete recovery planning on teams between matches. The Brazilian technical committee has already carried out technical visits to the training sites and stadiums where the team will play in the first phase.
Ancelotti has emphasized the need for a versatile cast to withstand the wear and tear of continental shifting. Grupo C, in addition to Marrocos, has Escócia and Haiti as opponents of Seleção Brasileira. The initial focus is to guarantee the leadership of the group to obtain theoretically more accessible keys in the knockout system, which now has an extra phase due to the increase in the number of participants.
