Panini did not include Neymar among the 18 Brazilian players present in the initial version of Copa’s album from Mundo in 2026. Porém, the sticker manufacturer, should release an update set with the attacker’s card, just as it did in Copa from Catar 2022 with Ousmane Dembélé. The inclusion comes after Neymar was called up by coach Carlo Ancelotti for the tournament next year.
The player recovered from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee, an injury suffered on October 17, 2023 against Uruguai at Eliminatórias. Sua’s return to the national team’s main team consolidated his participation in the squad for Mundial.
Quando and how the card will be released
The official announcement about the “Update Set” should take place a few weeks after the start of the Copa of the 2026 Mundo. Panini adopts this schedule to update stickers of players who were not included in the original version or were incorporated into the tournament after the initial album was printed.
Unlike regular packages, the update set is sold in specific boxes or blisters labeled “Update Set”. Este format ensures that the buyer receives all new cards, without random repeats. The differentiated presentation allows collectors to avoid unnecessary expenses on packs that do not contain updated cards.
Canais authorized purchase
Após launch announcement, three main distribution channels will be available:
- Loja official Panini online, with possible pre-sales
- Lojas of department and authorized bookstores
- Revendedores registered officers
Panini frequently anticipates access to “Update Set” through its digital platform, allowing collectors to get ahead. Compras carried out through unauthorized channels runs the risk of purchasing counterfeit or inferior quality products.
Precedente from Copa from Catar
The context for Neymar’s inclusion in the 2026 album comes from the previous experience with Dembélé in Copa of Catar 2022. The then Barcelona player was not included in the original album, but was later integrated through 80 additional cards distributed in Update Set. The strategy worked commercially and signaled that absent big names could be incorporated.
Neymar is among the main highlights of the Brazilian squad for 2026. Sua’s confirmed presence in Ancelotti’s call-up reinforces the likelihood of inclusion in the official collection material. The timing of the release maintains suspense and anticipation among fans and collectors, a phenomenon that drives sales of update sets when they are finally released.
