Everton Cebolinha’s situation at Flamengo has attracted the attention of several Brazilian clubs this September 1, 2026. Outside of the red and black plans, the attacker aroused the interest of teams such as Corinthians, Grêmio, Santos and São Paulo, who sought to understand the conditions for a possible signing. The Rio team demonstrated a willingness to facilitate the athlete’s release.
The investigation revealed that, in the case of São Paulo, the interest in Cebolinha came from coach Dorival Júnior. He appreciates the striker’s characteristics and considers him an ideal player to play on the wing, a profile sought by the team.
However, the São Paulo club’s survey did not progress to formal negotiation. Upon learning of the financial requirements to have Cebolinha, the Morumbi board quickly concluded that the costs, at that time, were above the team’s budgetary possibilities.
In addition to the salary, the amounts related to gloves also represented a significant obstacle for the tricolor management. Considering the difficulties that São Paulo already faces in keeping salary payments and image rights up to date, the decision was not to continue with formal talks for the attacker.
Another factor that contributed to the cooling of negotiations was the player’s own preference. São Paulo was informed that Cebolinha prioritizes a move outside Brazil when leaving Flamengo, which directs his next steps.
Everton Cebolinha’s contract with Flamengo ends at the end of the year and will not be renewed. In recent weeks, the winger has been looking for alternatives for his departure from Gávea, looking for a new destination for his career.
Recently, the striker was close to signing a deal with Krasnodar, from Russia. The transfer seemed almost completed, but the Russian club decided to withdraw from the negotiation on August 25, 2026, changing the player’s plans.
