Officers from the Hollywood Police Department in Florida took 49-year-old content creator Charleston White into custody on September 12 and transferred him to the Broward County jail on a simple battery charge. He remains under state custody.
Official Broward County detention records omit specific details regarding the incident that prompted the arrest, while spokespersons for White issued no formal comment on the matter.
Past legal troubles and criminal charges across state lines
With more than 250,000 YouTube subscribers following his comedy material, the performer built a multi-year police record in Texas that features aggravated assault charges with a deadly weapon in Tarrant County during February 2025 and October, alongside an animal cruelty count. Criminal complaints in 2022 cited him for spraying pepper spray at a cat and pointing a firearm toward two men, followed by another arrest and release on bond in December 2023. The recent Florida booking expands his legal proceedings across several jurisdictions.
Upcoming performance schedule at Florida entertainment venue
The entertainer maintains a scheduled appearance at the Off the Hook Comedy Club in Naples, Florida, set for 7 p.m. five days after the arrest. The comedy venue keeps the booking on its calendar as judicial authorities evaluate the battery accusation.
